A personal song for the road, with your names in it. Two versions to choose from, a cover image and a page to share it.
What a minute buys you
A 30-minute thriller uses 30 minutes of balance. If the story turns out a little shorter, the difference goes back to your balance.
The books themselves are free. You only use minutes for the chapters you have narrated, so you can listen to one chapter and stop.
Upload a story or a book you own and narrate as much of it as you like, chapter by chapter, at the same rate.
Even more lifelike narrators. They use 2 minutes of balance per minute of audio, because they cost us more to run.
Questions
Is there a subscription?
No. You buy a pack when you need one, and there is nothing to cancel.
Do minutes expire?
No. Minutes stay on your account until you use them.
Do I pay again when I listen to a story a second time?
No. You pay once, when a chapter is narrated. After that you can play it as often as you like, in the browser or in your podcast app.
What if narration fails?
Then the minutes go straight back to your balance. You can see every change on your account page.
Is there an unlimited plan?
Not yet. Writing and narrating new stories costs real computing time for every minute, so for now we keep it pay-as-you-go and keep the price per hour low.
Why does a premium voice use more minutes?
Premium narrators run on a more expensive voice service. Charging 2 minutes per minute keeps standard listening cheap for everyone.
